Marie and John – Private Estate ~ 8/7/10
December 28th, 2010 | WeddingsMarie and John were just as sweet as they come! I was so delighted to capture their beautiful , and so meaningful, August wedding at such a truly amazing private estate! Marie wore a custom made dress and head piece, and at the ceremony one of her delightful best friends gave her away, her smile was just so contagious! Her lovely girlfriends also had her bouquet designed as a surprise to her and just every detail was so dreamy! Lanterns hanging from the amazing tent designed by Exquisite Events illuminated the evening with an amber hue, and the sounds of children’s laughter rang throughout the day. The kids even had their own activity table and Russell Morin Fine Catering even provided a kid’s buffet for them! The bridesmaids were John’s Daughters and his daughter in law, looking ever so eclectic in their multi-toned dresses and vibrant bouquets! Finding love at any age is extraordinary, and we were just so thrilled to be there with such a fabulous family, sharing in such a joyous day!

Runways ~ Temperley London
December 15th, 2010 | Fashion and EditiorialTemperley London is a truly unique line that lanched in 2000! Detailed hand beading and embroidery, paired with exquisite French laces, oversized stones, and unique shapes. I loved the sleeves on the romantic gowns, they were goddess-like and had an almost feather weight appeal to them, like you could just float about the room. Perfect for outdoor and beach weddings, garden ceremonies, and even rustic venues! This is definitely a designer to watch! You can check out their ready to wear collection online too, maybe grab something for the rehearsal dinner or honeymoon!

Kelley and Jonathan ~ 8/16/10- Rosecliff Mansion, Newport, RI
December 11th, 2010 | WeddingsKelley and Jonathan had a picture perfect sunny summer’s day in Newport! The blush pinks and ecru colors contrasted with hues of hydrangea blue. The girls had a blast getting ready at the Hotel Viking, finding it’s not so easy to get into a wedding gown! We then headed to the church, and frolicked around Brenton point, getting some beautiful shots on the rocks! Smiles and genuine happiness echoed throughout the mansion and everyone danced the night away (and there were some pretty amazing dancers, too!!!) with some fantastic uplighting by Ormonde Productions to transform Rosecliff into a more modern space. What a great way to spend a August day! Congrats Kelley and Jonathan!

Runways ~ Monique Lhuillier
December 8th, 2010 | Fashion and EditiorialAs soon as we walked into Monique’s show, I knew it was going to be spectacular. The urban brick loft was transcended with plum colored lighting and gorgeous white branches hanging from the ceiling! The collection-breathtaking as usual! Lots of short dresses too, which I totally adore! An ethereal look to some of the dresses with translucent fabric, others elegant with giant roses printed on silk, and of course, those stunning rosettes! There were cap sleeves, long sleeves, sleeveless, and straps; sashes and sparkles, and corsets…such an amazing variety of prettiness! Loved every single one! Head over to twitter and tell us which one is YOUR favorite…@kspencerphoto.

December 6th, 2010 | Fashion and EditiorialKait and Oliver ~ Oceancliff Newport, RI-7/24/10: Part II
December 5th, 2010 | WeddingsHere is a follow up to one of the most colorful events of the season! If you want to take a peek and remember Part 1, check out that blue bouquet! Whoa! Kate’s bouquet was also featured here! I love revisiting all of our amazing summer weddings as we get them posted here to inspire all of you newly engaged couples (and those waiting for some bling under the tree!!!)…The details here at Kait and Oliver’s wedding were spectacular. A travel theme set the stage for this couple who called England home, the invitations, menu cards, and guest book table featured an airplane, the escort cards were paper airplanes directing guests to their tables, labeled as places Kait and Oliver had traveled together (South Africa, India, Costa Rica, Vietnam …and more!). They actually spent the six months before the wedding seeing the world (um, can you say romantic?), before settling back in Rhode Island. The red and blue theme really popped against the gilded Oceancliff, and were accented with different shades and pattens, like powder blue linens in the dining room, and red damask linens in the foyer and bar areas! Just great design everywhere you looked! In my little questionnaire I send to my brides, I ask open ended questions like “the bride wore…”, in addition to listing all her details from her Maggie Sottero gown to the pearl bracelet Oliver gave her, she wrote “Kait also wore a big, beautiful smile all day long!”. She really did, they just oozed happiness, LOVE it! Congrats again Kait and Oliver!
