Lacey & Logan :: El Dorado Seaside Suites, Mexico

May 24th, 2012 | Weddings

Lacey & Logan traveled across the sea to the beautiful Mexico! The couple took to the tropics for their October 22, 2011 destination wedding on the beach. The theme of the day was laid back, fun and untraditional. Shoes were even optional! The small group of close family and friends gathered on the beach to celebrate the couple and enjoy some fun in the sun!

Before the ceremony the Bride and Groom exchanged gifts through someone! The Bride and Groom also gave their Bridesmaids and Groomsmen little gifts!

The ring and note was the Grooms little gift exchanged to the Bride before the ceremony!

The ceremony was short and sweet! The Bride and Groom even wrote their own vows!The Bride and Groom wanted fun, creative and untraditional photos with everyone that attended!

To add a fun touch everyone wore the same style sunglasses!

After a fun day in the sun, everyone moved down the beach for the reception BBQ style with candle lit tiki torches!

There was no traditional cake either! Just some fun bite sized desserts!

The only traditional thing about this care free wedding was the first dance and Father/Daughter, Mother/Son dances!

Chalkboards were a cute and fun touch to the reception for the guests to write on for the Bride and Groom!

The couple decided to do a photo shoot in Playa Del Carman the next day all dressed up!

Dear Ceremony Guests….

May 23rd, 2012 | News

Going into the 2012 Wedding Season it’s already clear that more & more of your wedding guests plan to spend your ceremony reaching into the aisles “secretly” {they really seem to think that that arm in the middle of the aisle holding a cell phone is invisible… snapping away cell phone pics. We love that they are so excited to share in your day however being that you’ve hired professionals both photographers & videographers alike we are now begging that you realize that these cell phones are ruining once in a lifetime moments. EVERY wedding we capture there are numerous moments of bridal attendants and Brides with their Fathers ruined while a guest pops out thinking they are “not in the way” and their cell phones and mini-hand held devices turn a once in a lifetime moment into a technology tragedy.

{we respect your guests wanting to grab snap shots to share on FB and email and truly get that.. we do! But as an example of what might happen this adorable moment a guest pops out their arm and BAM .. brides face for us is GONE and replaced with a phone :( We may be standing yards away with e telephoto lens and they “think” they aren’t in our way .. but no matter if it’s an arm, a leg , a cellphone/camera etc.. if it’s out in the aisle it’s most definitely effecting your images/ films.. in 5, 10, 20 years do you still want to be staring at that guy with the cellphone in your picture?? Especially when you were SO ADORABLE as a couple alone!!}

Brides completely blocked out by hands & devices, or your guest entirely blocking you .. or they like to even sometimes jump out in the aisle in front of our equipment and then they have become “part of that lasting memory full cellphone & guest” .. almost walking you down the aisle too..

{Before you panic Mrs. K – I have shots without your guest here too but couldn’t not use this as it’s the weekly scenario we fight against.. so don’t panic!}

We only want you to have the imagery & films you’ve hired your vendors to create in the best quality.. this problem has become such an issue over the past few years that we do have some clients who now write into their programs or ask their guests while being seated to refrain from using cell phones & hand held devices during the ceremony so that they might be able to fully enjoy and respect your ceremony & your imagery/films.. help us help protect your lasting memories of your wedding ceremony and ask your guests to please just sit back and enjoy the moment.

Please help educate your guests against the devices that are more & more ruining the photography & video moments we are all working so hard for you to produce.  Thank you.. I’ll get down off my little soap box now {jump}

Kate & Kevin :: Ocean House Watch Hill, RI

May 17th, 2012 | Weddings

Kate & Kevin hosted a wonderful day of personal and special detail on July 23, 2011 among the love of friends and family. The couple tied the knot at the Ocean House Watch Hill, RI. The outlook of the Ocean House was magnificent. It was a day of class and elegance with the vision of details everywhere!

Kate wore a sweetheart strapless Badgley Mischka wedding gown with a stunning lace jacket for the ceremony. Kate bought the dress at L’ Elite Bridal in Boston. The Bridesmaids wore Ralph Lauren navy dress, with yellow sashes made by Kate’s aunt!

The beautiful blue hydrangeas and yellow roses were Kate & Kevin’s favorite colors and the types of flowers were their own personal touches!

The couple dreamed of a New England beach/summer wedding. After growing up in Rhode Island and Connecticut, Watch Hill was an area close to both of their families and hometowns. Their dream wedding was realized as they celebrated with friends and family on a beautiful day overlooking the Atlantic.

“At Christmas time, we both went to a charity event hosted by friends at a bar in Boston (“The Place”). We met that night and both knew we had met someone very special from the outset!”
