Going into the 2012 Wedding Season it’s already clear that more & more of your wedding guests plan to spend your ceremony reaching into the aisles “secretly” {they really seem to think that that arm in the middle of the aisle holding a cell phone is invisible… snapping away cell phone pics. We love that they are so excited to share in your day however being that you’ve hired professionals both photographers & videographers alike we are now begging that you realize that these cell phones are ruining once in a lifetime moments. EVERY wedding we capture there are numerous moments of bridal attendants and Brides with their Fathers ruined while a guest pops out thinking they are “not in the way” and their cell phones and mini-hand held devices turn a once in a lifetime moment into a technology tragedy.
{we respect your guests wanting to grab snap shots to share on FB and email and truly get that.. we do! But as an example of what might happen this adorable moment a guest pops out their arm and BAM .. brides face for us is GONE and replaced with a phone
We may be standing yards away with e telephoto lens and they “think” they aren’t in our way .. but no matter if it’s an arm, a leg , a cellphone/camera etc.. if it’s out in the aisle it’s most definitely effecting your images/ films.. in 5, 10, 20 years do you still want to be staring at that guy with the cellphone in your picture?? Especially when you were SO ADORABLE as a couple alone!!}
Brides completely blocked out by hands & devices, or your guest entirely blocking you .. or they like to even sometimes jump out in the aisle in front of our equipment and then they have become “part of that lasting memory full cellphone & guest” .. almost walking you down the aisle too..
{Before you panic Mrs. K – I have shots without your guest here too but couldn’t not use this as it’s the weekly scenario we fight against.. so don’t panic!}
We only want you to have the imagery & films you’ve hired your vendors to create in the best quality.. this problem has become such an issue over the past few years that we do have some clients who now write into their programs or ask their guests while being seated to refrain from using cell phones & hand held devices during the ceremony so that they might be able to fully enjoy and respect your ceremony & your imagery/films.. help us help protect your lasting memories of your wedding ceremony and ask your guests to please just sit back and enjoy the moment.
Please help educate your guests against the devices that are more & more ruining the photography & video moments we are all working so hard for you to produce. Thank you.. I’ll get down off my little soap box now {jump}
