Everything about Joe & Krissy is pure “awesome” they are just FUN… fun all around and watching them together is beyond words amusing.. their story is one of my favorites… read on!
I love the stories and one of my all time favorites is Krissy & Joe’s story of how they met and their first date! Luckily they played a “Love Story Film” {Filmed by Artistic Wedding Video} of it at the wedding!
Q. How did you meet?
Krissy. Krissy and Joe met on match.com in December 2008. Krissy takes the credit on finding Joe because she emailed him first (in fact, he was the ONLY person she had ever emailed first!). His profile made her laugh out loud as he outlined his required qualities for a date and then went on a tangent about dinosaurs and pirates. They emailed once or twice before Krissy realized Joe looked strangely familiar. Long story short (okay, it wasn’t a long story…she asked him one question and he replied), Krissy knew Joe’s brother very well, they were friends from way back and lived in Boston at the same time. How very Rhode Island.
After calling his brother to get the scoop on Krissy (thank you Eric for the glowing recommendation!), Joe asked Krissy out. Their first date was on February 6, 2009.
From the very beginning, Krissy and Joe just clicked. They had fun conversations and even more fun adventures together (including the craziness of their first date).
Q. Colors / Themes of the day
Krissy. Colors = Red & champagne / Theme = fun! a little bit of lighthouse classic, with the quirkiness of polka dots, giant red balloons, party blowers, yay flags, and of course: muffin and kangaroo’s to truly showcase the story of “muffin and joey” – the cartoon Joe draws for Krissy.
Q. What made your event UNIQUE
Krissy. I think our wedding was unique because it was SO us. We took things that made us happy and had a celebration that included all those things – our favorite people, our favorite colors, giant red balloons, party blowers and poppers, our own personal cartoon, the ocean, our love story (played before we are announced), cupcakes (which are just muffins in fancy clothing…) and so on. We could have just had a cookie cutter wedding with the color theme and and the nautical theme, but it wouldnt have been true to our personalities. And I believe the most important part of party planning is letting your personality shine through.

A note from Krissy & Joe. “Kristin and Jared – we cant say enough about how much we loved working with you! We know that we are not ‘ordinary’ people – we’re quirky and giggly and silly (we have a cartoon series about our relationship on our fridge…enough said!) and you helped us embrace that. Your style and personalities complimented exactly what we wanted at our wedding. We loved working with you and we wish we had more events we could have you be a part of!! Also, as a person who hates to have her picture taken but loves photos – I felt “safe” by having you as my “eyes” of the event. I knew the paparazzi syle would help me not feel so posed and nervous for pictures and I would have candid memories of my wedding for a lifetime. Thank you from the bottom of our heart – we’re truly grateful to have you as part of our wedding story!”
Krissy & Joe .. I am so beyond THRILLED to have been there to capture your day and YOUR personalities.. laugh with you and well .. at Joe occasionally lol {btw where were the ducks joe?!} .. and am Ecstatic to hear the NEWS of a MINI-MUFFIN arriving this summer! Congratulations!! xoxo – Kristin S.
