With INCHES of snow on the ground currently the idea of warm autumn colors is exactly what I need to blog! Autumn Elegance is the BEST way to describe Lauren & Steven’s November wedding..the couple dreamed of a sophisticated autumn inspired event with ” a warm muted color palette & romantic decor”.. and they pulled this style together beautifully!
Personally, I always ask brides lots of questions, typically more then they have for me I think lol.. but I love knowing what is inspiring them, the stories behind engagements.. the details that help describe their personalities, relationships.. and give me a good idea of who they are as a couple but also the entire event so when photographing it we really feel connected to what we are shooting.. I love what I do, who we work with and the moments we are able to help retell..
Q. What was your favorite moment or aspect of the day?
Lauren. When I stepped out of the Rolls Royce, I spotted my bridesmaids waving and smiling at me through the windows of the church doors. As I made my way up the steps of the church to meet them, my shoe fell off! It was a true Cinderella moment and very fitting as I was about to marry my prince charming! Good thing the videographer was right behind me to help me into my shoe!
Steve’s favorite moment was seeing me walk down the aisle! When I joined him at the altar, he whispered: “Your dress is beautiful! You looked like you were floating!”
[Funny note.. as I walked into Lauren's room to visit her Vera Wang "Georgina" gown and details .. I was stunned.. I actually stood there just staring..we always joke that when it comes to weddings I'm the photographer, "UB" ultimate bridesmaid, maid, bridal aid, stylist.. sometimes stand in florist lol .. i have many roles and typically I walk into pre-bridal and begin my role as "maid" as I tidy up and make the scene match the day to get some beauty shots of a brides gown & little details.. this was a FIRST! Lauren's room..I was and still am kinda speechless remembering it as I felt like I walked into a picture already captured as EVERYTHING was perfectly placed for me.. I almost felt lost as I explored everything not having done it myself ha ha it was AMAZING!!! ]
Q. Finish this sentence: “One thing I learned from my wedding planning…”
Lauren. One thing I learned from my wedding planning is that my mom and I make a great team! We decided to do the planning ourselves– and we loved every minute of it! We had so much fun brainstorming wedding ideas and enjoyed the time we spent together running errands. My mom is the most organized, detail-oriented person I know. Plus, she gives the best advice! I was so happy to have her by my side.

Even before I was engaged I would constantly look at your blog and admire the stunning photos. It was so surreal to have you at our wedding! You are true professionals. From helping with my dress to pinning on boutonnieres, you truly went above and beyond. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and we wouldn’t have wanted any one else but you to capture the details. We’re beyond excited to see the photos!
